The death of Eastern Michigan University student Julia Niswender has been ruled a homicide. That's according to final autopsy results from the Washtenaw County Medical Examiner's office, which says toxicology results did not yield any conclusive information. Niswender was found dead in her off-campus apartment December 11th. Investigators say they're still waiting for toxicology results, forensic laboratory analysis and a final autopsy report as they continue their investigation into the death of Eastern Michigan University junior Julia Niswender. Niswender was found dead in her off-campus apartment about a month ago. Her death is being investigated as a homicide. About 200 people attended a candlelight vigil Friday night at the Lakehouse at Eastern Michigan University for Julia Niswender, the EMU junior found dead in her off-campus apartment Tuesday night. Friends and family took turns speaking about the 23 year-old and what they'll miss most about her.

Ypsilanti police are investigating Niswender's death as a "possible homicide". Preliminary autopsy results were inconclusive and more tests will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
