New High School Opening Delayed

Ann Arbor, MI – Just as Ann Arbor school officials unveiled a draft redistricting plan for the third comprehensive high school, superintendent George Fornero annouced that the new school will not open by the fall of 2007 as planned.

Search for New Police Chief Continues

Ypsilanti, MI – The city of Ypsilanti is moving forward with its efforts to find a replacement for Police Chief George Baser, who's leaving at the end of next month to become Howell's police chief.
City Manager Ed Koryzno says a nationwide search is underway. He says he'd like to have the first review of applicants by March 6th, with a replacement identified by March 31st, Baser's last day on the job.
