EMU Looks to End Slide Against Ball St.

Many of Eastern Michigan's goals for this football season can be measured tangibly.

So when two of the Eagles' most attainable benchmarks--winning the Michigan MAC Championship and finishing the season with a winning record--slipped out of reach after Saturday's 44-36 loss to Western Michigan, the team was forced to revise its aspirations.

Michigan MAC Trophy Within Eagles' Grasp

Ypsilanti –

Saturday was a wild day in the Mid-American Conference, with three lower-tier teams beating preseason favorites.

And Eastern Michigan, with a bye, watched it all from home. The Eagles were still stewing after a 24-23 loss to Miami (Ohio), which realistically ended EMU's MAC West division title hopes.
