EMU Backs Higher Ed Plan

Ypsilanti, MI – The Lieutenant Governor's Commission on Higher Education issued its recommendations yesterday for increasing college attendance. The report has the backing of Eastern Michigan University.

Eagles to Play at 8 p.m. Saturday

Columbia, Mo. – Eastern Michigan's women's basketball team will take on Missouri for the championship of the State Farm Tiger Classic at approximately 8 p.m. Eastern time Saturday night.

The Eagles, who are seeking their third tournament title of the young season, beat UMKC, 69-44, Friday night to earn a berth in the championship. Missouri topped Mississippi Valley State, 79-52, in Friday's nightcap.
