The Ann Arbor City Counciland Mayor Christopher Taylor will receive a modest raise in pay this year.

It’s been seven years since the city’s elected officials last had a salary increase. A city compensation commission concluded that a raise of one percent was due to the ten council members and the mayor. That means the Ann Arbor City Council will each make $16,073 annually. Taylor will make $42,860 per year.

The new salaries will take effect in 30 days, unless council members object.
