Belleville Store Sells One Of Michigan's 31 Winning Powerball Tickets

Yelp User Ron W.

Thirty one stores in Michigan sold winning lottery tickets for last night’s Powerball drawing. One of those, the Willow Creek Deli in Belleville, was featured on WEMU yesterday.

Owner Haitham Kamposh says having a reputation for selling winning tickets is a boost for future business. “We are a lucky store." he says. "A couple years ago [we sold a ticket] for $35,000 for the instant games. I hope we go for bigger than that in the future.”

The Willow Creek Deli is one of more than two dozen Michigan stores which sold a $50,000 winning ticket. Five more sold tickets valued at $1 million. Kamposh estimates his store sold nearly 7,000 Powerball tickets yesterday.
