Ann Arbor Police.

A public community reception will be held this Thursday November 5th at the Ann Arbor city hall lobby so you can meet candidates interested in the chief of police job.

The idea is for you to find out what they're all about and then provide feedback to the city on who you believe is the right person for the job.

The three candidates are Jim Baird, the current interim police chief for Ann Arbor.  Rob Severance, current deputy city manager and police chief of Cleburne Texas and James White, assistant police chief of the Detroit Police Department.

A recommendation for the new chief is expected to be announced on November 16th during a city council meeting.

This Thursday's event starts at 6PM.
