Debbie Dingell Says Obama's Nod To Michigan's Auto Industry Was A Highlight Of The SOTU

Rep. Debbie Dingell on Twitter

President Obama highlighted Michigan's auto industry as an example of the nation’s renewed economic strength during his final address to Congress. Representative Debbie Dingell says it’s time for the rest of America to know that Michigan is once again a world leader in automotive technology.

She says,

“We are back, we are strong. We’re sitting in the driver’s seat in Michigan and being at the forefront of innovation and technology and we need to make sure we do that and I want Willow Run to be a critical part of that.”

Dingell says the President’s demand that Muslims not be discriminated against or targeted in the U.S. was another important moment for Michigan during the 2016 State of the Union.

Dingell brought University of Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh and his wife Sarah as her guests last night.
