Eastern Michigan University's LGBT Community Comes Together To Discuss Vandalized Pride Flag

Jorge Avellan
Members of the community discuss last week's incident.

A community conversation was held at Eastern Michigan University after a large pride flag display was vandalized last week on campus.

Nearly fifty people attended the meeting hosted by the EMU's LGBT Resource Center.

Some students said they felt violated after seeing dozens of small flags, that made up the larger flag, destroyed.

Kaitlin Eredics was among the students who participated in the discussion, she believes the issue should not be ignored to prevent it from happening again.

Police are still looking for suspects.  If you have any information you're asked to call EMU police.
