December 2 marks the beginning of Hanukkah, the eight-day Jewish "festival of lights."  To celebrate, the EMU Center for Jewish Studies will welcome writer/filmmaker/storyteller Aaron Wolfe to campus, who will talk about his past and present work.  Wolfe himself joins WEMU's Patrick Campion and gives a preview of the event in this week's "Focus on EMU."

About the Center for Jewish Studies Hanukkah Celebration

Moth GrandSLAM winner Aaron Wolfe’s stories have been featured on NPR, The Moth Podcast, Risk! and countless shows around the country.  After a whirlwind year, including an amazing festival run, his short film "Record/Play" has been bought by Focus Features to be adapted into a feature film.

Hors d'oeuvres reception and desserts.

$18 per person; $10 students with ID.

This event is co-sponsored by Hillel at Eastern Michigan University, the EMU Department of English, and the EMU Department of Communication, Media, and Theater Arts.  We would also like to offer a special thank you to Harlene and Henry Appelman.

It takes Sunday, December 2 at 6 PM at EMU's Sponberg Auditorium.
