Livability.com Ranks Ann Arbor 2nd Among College Towns

For the third time in as many years, Ann Arbor has been rated as one of the ten best college towns in America by Livability.com - this year placing second, its best rating to date.

Livability.com editor Matt Carmichael says they look at numerous factors including amenities, walkability, pollution levels and economic contributions from universities when determining rankings.

Ann Arbor Area Convention and Visitors Bureau president Mary Kerr  says the city's robust economy has played a major role in the city's livability rating, and she says advertising the city - especially through its partnership with the Pure Michigan campaign -  has been a key element to that success.

Livability.com is a national publication that looks for the best places in America to live and work. It specifically focuses small and mid-sized cities.
