The Washtenaw County Board of Commissionerswill meet tonight, and mental health care will be a main topic.

The board will discuss how to reduce its budget for mental health servicesafter the State of Michigan decided to cut the county's funding.  An original proposal included privatizing the services.

Commissioner YousefRabhi is against that idea and is concerned about pay cuts.  He says the state is basically telling them to pay mental health care workers close to minimum wage to make budget, an option he does not support.

To help reduce the budget, furlough days have also been suggested.
