President Barack Obama will visit Ann Arbor next week to tout his plan for hiking the federal minimum wage to $10.10 an hour.
The Detroit Free Press reports the White House says the President will make a stop in Ann Arbor Wednesday for an event. Further details were expected to be released later.
An official with the University of Michigan said that Obama administration was “exploring potential sites on our campus” but that nothing had been confirmed.
The current federal minimum wage is $7.25 an hour. It was last raised in 2009.
