There's A Final Art Proposal For The Stadium Boulevard Project In Ann Arbor

Plans are in the final stages for an art installation as part of the under-construction Stadium Boulevard project near Michigan Stadium in Ann Arbor.

TheAnn Arbor Public Art Commission met last night to make its final recommendation on a proposed art installation on two retaining walls along Stadium Boulevard.

Art Commission Chair John Katarski says after a lengthy selection process overseen theAnn Arbor Art Center, they're recommending the design of New York artistBrian Brush.

"It is a series of aluminum disks that will be applied to the wall in an abstract way that reflects and refracts the imaging," says Katarski.

The art commission's recommendation now goes to theAnn Arbor City Council for final approval.  The process of installing the art work is not expected to begin until early next year.
