Ann Arbor Mayor Christopher Taylorspoke first and said the city is going in the right direction and he continues to focus on “Quality of Life” for residents.

Mayor Taylor addressed affordable housing in Ann Arbor and said people want it, but they have a hard time getting there because residents don’t want to deal with the hassles of new construction.

“We hear them and understand them but that the long-term good of the city requires that we do tough things, and building housing is one of them,” says Taylor.

Ypsilanti Mayor Amanda Edmonds spoke about many different city issues including immigration, possible development of the Water Street property, and figuring out who they are in Ypsilanti and what do they want to be.
