What A Difference 24 Hours Makes In Clearing Washtenaw County Roads

YellowstoneNPS

It's the calm after the storm as far as local snowfall and treacherous driving is concerned.

89.1 WEMU'S Lisa Barry talks with the director of operations for the Washtenaw Road Commissionabout efforts to clear county roads.

Harmon says snowplow drivers were surprised at how many distracted drivers they saw even when roads were snow covered and very slippery.  He said Thursday's sunshine helped melt some of the snow, but advised motorists to be on the look out for black ice due to re-freezing of slippery roadways.
