To help address the transportation needs of veterans in our state, AmeriCorps and the Michigan Region 10 Veterans Community Action Team has started a program called Wheels for Warriors.
The program has already provided 15 bicycles to veterans who need transportation.
Wheels for Warriors will give out another two on Thursday to two veterans from Lenawee County during an event at the Ann Arbor VA Hospital.
The idea is to help veterans get to work, medical appointments and keep them exercising.
