Ypsilanti City Council Expected To Approve Budget, Naloxone, And More At Meeting

Ypsilanti City Council members will vote later today on the city’s budget for the next fiscal year.

Expenses for Ypsilanti’s city budget for the next fiscal year will top out at just over $14 million. City Council must agree on a budget before July 1st.

Ypsilanti City Council will vote on allowing Ypsilantipolice to carry the anti-opioid overdose drugNaloxone. WashtenawCounty Sheriff’s officers and Eastern Michigan University’s Police Departmentare currently trained to use the drug. 

Also on the agenda, Council Members will decide on whether to join Ann Arbor in celebrating the second Monday of October as Indigenous People's Day

The meeting begins at 7 PM at the Ypsilanti City Hall.
