Ypsilanti Officials To Discuss The Closure Of North Grove and North Park Streets

Ypsilanti officials are seeking the public’s opinion on closing North Grove and North Park streets to vehicle traffic.

The closures are part of installing a passenger rail stop in Depot Town.  Under the plan, North Park and North Grove would be closed to all vehicle traffic.

City officialsannounced earlier this month that Amtrak would add Depot Town as a stop on its Wolverine Line.  Construction is scheduled to be completed in 2017, but officials say it will take longer before Ypsilanti becomes a regular stop on Amtrak’s Wolverine Line.

The meeting begins tonight at 7 PM at Maiz Mexican Cantina on Cross Street.
