Ann Arbor Primary Results

ANN ARBOR CITY COUNCIL WILL BE GETTING THREE NEW FACES AS A RESULT OF YESTERDAY'S PRIMARY ELECTIONS. 

IN ANN ARBOR'S FIRST WARD SUMI KAILASAPATHY  DEFEATED ERIC STURGIS WITH 58 PERCENT OF THE VOTE.

SECOND WARD INCUMBENT TONY DEREZINSKI FELL TO SALLY HART PETERSEN, 55 PERCENT TO 45 PERCENT.

THE FIFTH WARD SAW CHUCK WARPEHOSKI CLAIM 56 PERCENT OF THE VOTE OVER VIVIENNE ARMENTROUT.  WARPEHOSKI WILL FACE  REPUBLICAN STUART BERRY IN THE NOVEMBER GENERAL ELECTION.

Get on the Bus!  WEMU and Golden Limo in Ann Arbor have teamed up once more to provide convenient, safe, and inexpensive transportation to the Detroit Jazz Festival Labor Day weekend:  Saturday, September 1, through Monday, September 3.  You can park free in the Green Lot on the EMU campus, off Huron River Drive, and choose one of three pickup times Saturday and Sunday, and two on Monday.  Click here for more information and registration forms
