Ann Arbor's Percent For Art Program is Replaced

  The Public Art Ordinance in Ann Arbor has been revised, and the result is elimination of the "Percent for Art"  mechanism of arts funding. As WEMU's Andrew Cluley reports, Ann Arbor City Council Monday night approved amendments to the ordinance that favors consideration of public art projects on a case-by-case basis in Capitol Projects.

Neutral Zone Artists Win Grant for Murals Project in Ann Arbor

The Ann Arbor Downtown Development Authory has awarded a five-thousand dollar grant that will provide stipends for young, local artists to  create murals on the western edge of the city. WEMU's Andrew Cluley reports.

Ann Arbor's Public Art Commission has unanimously passed a resolution in support of placing a millage issue on the November ballot specifically designed to raise money for Public Art. WEMU's Andrew Cluley has more.
