Event Description

The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan (NKFM) is hosting the Powerful Tools for Caregivers health series in Ann Arbor for the caregivers of people living with chronic diseases. The six-week program, offered at no cost to participants, provides caregivers with tools and coping strategies to manage long-term health challenges. The Information Session is Thursday, August 15, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Six weekly sessions follow on Thursday, August 22 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and continue at the same time and place every Thursday through September 26. Powerful Tools for Caregivers participants learn to: -decrease stress and cope with difficult emotions -increase confidence in managing caregiving demands -communicate better with family, friends, and healthcare providers -set goals and solve problems -locate community resources To register, call: 800-482-1455 or email PATHprograms@nkfm.org.
