Additional School Districts In Washtenaw County To Offer In-Person Instruction

WISD

Out of the 10 school districts that are part of the Washtenaw Intermediate School District, only two currently offer in-person instruction options.

Manchester Community Schoolsand Milan Area Schools both have options for in-person instruction as students returned back to school after the holiday break.  Meanwhile, Ypsilanti Community Schools plans to bring back in-person learning starting January 25th, while the Chelsea School District plans to remain virtual at least until January 8thAshley Kryscynski is a spokesperson for WISD.

Ashley Kryscynski: This allows districts to have time to see how the holiday COVID data changes, whether that’s increasing, leveling-out or if it’s decreasing before they make a determination of next steps for their districts.

Saline Area Schools will start offering in-person instruction on January 11th.  As of now, Ann Arbor Public Schools remain 100% virtual but are considering the possibility of in-person instruction if the number of COVID-19 cases decrease and remain low.
