Ann Arbor City Council to Consider Bond Measure

Ann Arbor City Council has a fairly light agenda for tonight's meeting.  Council will consider an ordinance authorizing the sale of up to $3.5  million  in Water Supply System Bonds.

If approved,  the revenue generated will be used, in part, for additions and upgrades at the Barton and South Industrial pump stations.  The bonds will be paid back through Water Supply system revenues.

Like many, I first came to this area when I started school at the University of Michigan, then fell in love with the community and haven’t left. After graduating from U of M in the mid 1990’s I interned at WDET for several years, while also working a variety of jobs in Ann Arbor. Then in 1999 I joined the WEMU news team.
