Ann Arbor City Council Considering Eviction Protections

Apr 6, 2020

Ann Arbor's city council will consider a resolution tonight that calls to protect some residents from being evicted during the coronavirus crisis.

Mayor Christopher Taylor says the resolution applies to tenants of the Ann Arbor Housing Commission.  $200,000 from the city's general fund reserves would be used for rent subsidy and for future needs related to COVID-19 response.

"We are ensuring that people who live in Ann Arbor properties are able to maintain their residence during the course of the crisis"

Tonight's council meeting will be held online because of the pandemic.  For information on how you can participate during public comment, visit the city's website.
