Activists will March Against Monsanto in Ann Arbor tomorrow.
A recent report from the National Academy of Sciencesconcludes that foods from genetically engineered crops are not dangerous.
Former Chair of the University of Michigan’s Biology Department and Emeritus Professor Julian Adams says he often debates the controversy over G-E crops with those who oppose them.
“Genetically modified crops, or as we prefer to call them, biotech crops, is just using another tool is the whole panoply of tools available for plant breeding," he says.
The March Against Monsanto is scheduled to begin at 1 PM at the U-M diag.
