Ann Arbor’s city council will host a work session tonightto discuss a financial recovery plan as a result of the economic impact caused by COVID-19.

Mayor Christopher Taylorsays delays in capital projects, putting pay raises on hold, and reconsidering filling vacant positions are among the options the city is considering.  He says they expect revenue shortfalls to impact the city’s $114 million general fund because they’re currently not collecting fees from service,s like parking and park facilities.

"We expect there to be anywhere between a 5%-10% reduction in revenue to the general fund."

The city also expects to see a decrease in state revenue sharing.
