On this week's program, I talk to Omari Rush, the director of community engagement for the Ann Arbor Art Center.
The discussion included the rich and exciting art scene that continues to grow in Ypsilanti.
We also discuss the recent performance arts piece by Yen and Nick Azzaro. It included comments about the city of Ypsilanti and its residents and is being installed in the Chin Azzaro gallery in early September.
The second annual Pop X is also coming up. It's running from September 22nd to October 1st in Liberty Park Plaza in Ann Arbor.
There will be 8 juried artists "intended to excite and inspire our community with their art," according to Rush. The artists will be featured in their own pavilions set up in the park. There will also be a new pavilion this year that will be an actual four-stool pub serving three special beers made for this year's Pop-X.
