You could soon have another way to get around downtown Ann Arbor.
The Clean Energy Coalition is getting ready to launch its new bike sharing program called ArborBike.
Once completed, the membership-based program will allow users to check out bikes for short trips in and around the downtown area. The bikes can then be returned to any ArborBike kiosk.
ArborBike Operations Manager Nick Helmholdt says they are coordinating their efforts with the City of Ann Arbor, the University of Michigan and the their bike supplier, B-Cycle, and should have the program ready before the end of summer.
