One of the biggest issues in Ann Arbor is a lack of affordable housing.  There's a special community summit planned for next week to address the issue.

An Ann Arbor economic development summit is planned for September 12th to bring together community leaders to talk about the future of affordability and quality of life in Ann Arbor.

Community leaders from the private sector, nonprofits, and the public sector, including the University of Michigan, will participate in the event, which is open to the public and will include a time for public comment at the end.

The summit participants will review data identifying what impacts affordability in Ann Arbor and how city and university officials might help address the problem moving forward.
