The Humane Society of Huron Valley is looking for information about an abused dog.  The approximately four month old pit bull mix was found Wednesday evening near Gottfredson and Geddes in Superior Township.  A silver van was seen near the dog.

Marketing Director Deb Kern says the dog will need to have its right back leg amputated.

Kern hopes they will be able to find someone to adopt the dog after the surgery because he's very friendly and social.  Information on the case can be shared with the cruelty investigation team by calling 734-661-3512.

More information on the case can be found here.

Like many, I first came to this area when I started school at the University of Michigan, then fell in love with the community and haven’t left. After graduating from U of M in the mid 1990’s I interned at WDET for several years, while also working a variety of jobs in Ann Arbor. Then in 1999 I joined the WEMU news team.
