Lincoln Consolidated Superintendent Bonter Resigns

Superintendent Ellen Bonter of the Lincoln Consolidated Schools has announced her resignation as of Monday, Sept. 21. Bonter served as the district's superintendent since 2011.

Brick Elementary School principal, David Northrop will serve as interim superintendent after being appointed by the Board of Education until the Human Resources Department fills the vacancy.
 

A press release from the district provided the following information:

The LCS Board of Education accepted the resignation of Superintendent Ellen Bonter. LCS wishes Ms. Bonter well in all her future endeavors as she pursues other professional opportunities. The LCS Board of Education has unanimously appointed Mr. David Northrop as Interim Superintendent. LCS School Board President Kimberly Samuelson has directed the Human Resources Department to begin the process of filling the vacancy of Superintendent at Lincoln Consolidated Schools immediately.
