Something happened.
In my radio career I have been fortunate enough to interview hundreds of people from all walks of life (an interview with Jimmy Carter from not too long ago has been on my mind this week).
Here at 89.1 WEMU we are interviewing weekend music hosts to expose them to different listeners in different day parts.
I had met Marc Taras - host of Cuban Fantasy on Saturday from 7-9 p.m. but didn't really know him. He is just one of many outstanding, unique, intelligent, creative people who work at this station. I began the interview with one of my usual dumb jokes and before you knew it we were like a plane on a runway!
I was more in awe and filled with gratitude and appreciation after each and every question he answered. The music fit in perfectly and we had connected on a very high level. Marc later told me he even felt the presence of God in our conversation. I felt something too. Something that brought tears to my eyes, for many reasons.
