Mainstream GOP fights for House seats in Michigan
Backed by outside groups and their own fortunes, two insurgent Republicans are trying to knock off a pair of incumbent House members in Michigan's primary. But it's not what you think.

In suburban Detroit, lawyer Dave Trott is targeting Representative Kerry Bentivolio, a former reindeer farmer, teacher and auto designer viewed by some as an "accidental" congressman.
In western Michigan, Grand Rapids investment adviser Brian Ellis faces libertarian-leaning, two-term Representative, Justin Amash. He's known for sparring with House GOP leadership and fiercely opposing National Security Agency surveillance of Americans.
