The Washtenaw Coordinated Funders has awarded $4.5 million in human services funding to nonprofits in our county.
67 programs across 38 agencies will split the funding during the next two fiscal years.
The Washtenaw County Office of Community and Economic Development helped with the selection process. Human services manager Andrea Plevek says funding was awarded in four priority areas.
"Aging; housing and homelessness; safety, health, and nutrition; and a cradle-to-career network, which focuses on early childhood and school-aged youth."
