Protesters Continue To Fight Against Deer Cull In Ann Arbor

Huron Valley Humane Society

Protesters in Ann Arbor are not giving up as the city moves forward with a deer cull this winter.

Groups such as Friends of Ann Arbor Wildlife in Nature continue to protest at city hall.  Another group filed a lawsuit against the city for allowing the cull to take place at public parks for population control.

Terry Abrams, co-founder of FAAWN, is concerned about the signage at the parks and the timing of the cull because Ann Arbor does not have a permanent city administrator and police chief.

Some of the parks, the entrance to the park (beside the main entrance) they don’t have any signage. So, people that don’t speak English, there are currently no sign up in other languages. They don’t have signs to alert them, Abrams told WEMU news.

The city of Ann Arbor's communication department has not commented on the issues.
