Thousands of area commuters will soon get back into their driving routines with the re-opening of another local freeway after months of construction.
"Just keep in mind we're talking about just the freeway," Cross says. "There's still plenty of work to be done and we don't want to raise expectations that the project is finished and everything is wide open, because drivers will sill at times find a ramp closed or maybe only one lane open."
She says, in fact, the M-5 east and westbound ramps will NOT re-open when the freeway does as they still have work to do on them.
Cross says the freeway itself should be open by Monday Labor Day, but, if the weather cooperates, it could re-open by Friday.
The $75 million "Revive 275" project began last Spring.
