The Washtenaw County Road Commission is warning residents to avoid a few streets and bridges as we head into winter.

County road officials say they're ready for snow and ice if it arrives.  Roy Townsend is Director of the Washtenaw County Road Commission.  He says there's still a few closures and areas residents should be aware of:

"We've done inspections of a lot of our large culverts, and we've had to close about three or four more problematic ones, I guess, on Button Road in Augusta Township, south of Willis Road. Then, another one we had to restrict is Austin Road in Bridgewater Township."

He says Cherry Hill Road in Superior Township and Willow Road in Saline Township are two additional closures that will last through the winter.
