Saline Area Schools says the district is ready to take action, in case students cannot return to school this academic year because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Superintendent Scot Graden says students would miss about a third of the school year but would not be held back. Graden explains how the students would make up the work.
"Our intention would be truly to design a curriculum that is appropriate for the following grade to capture what was lost and to get them back hopefully to where they need to be by the end of the 2020-2021 school year"
Graden says since the district's calendar is set to a trimester. Most high school seniors already have enough credits to graduate. The district would work with those who don't.
