Schools get Energy Savings Award

By Andrew Cluley

Ypsilanti, MI – Ypsilanti public schools have exceeded original projections in the first 30 months of an energy reduction program.
Energy Education presented the school district with an Energy Excellence award last night. The district used 30 percent less electricity and reduced natural gas usage by 20 percent.
Energy Education vice-president Rod Bunker
says the results show that district staff and administrators are working together and are committed to reducing energy use which, in turn, helps the environment.
