Schuette Wins Republican Primary In Governor’s Race

Republican Bill Schuette has won the primary race for Governor and will move on to the November general election. The current state Attorney General defeated Lt. Governor Brian Calley, State Senator Patrick Colbeck and Dr. Jim Hines.  

Schuette will be challenged for the state’s top office by Democrat Gretchen Whitmer and Libertarian Bill Gelineau.  Whitmer defeated Abdul El-Sayed and Ann Arbor-Businessman Shri Thanedar. Gelineau topped John J. Tatar in thelibertarian primary.
