The Ann Arbor Summer Festival Board of Trustees has announced that Mike Michelon has been appointed as the new Executive Director, effective immediately.
89.1 WEMU'S Lisa Barry spoke to him about his new position and what lies ahead for the Summer Festival.
Michelon previously served as the festival's General Manager and has been managing its business and operations since 2014.
He is succeeding the organization's previous Executive Director, Amy Nesbitt, who left earlier this year.
