The Walmart Foundation will help feed senior citizens in need in our area.
Ypsilanti's Meals on Wheels received a $40,000 donation from the foundation to offer more cold and hot meals to seniors. Executive director Alison Foreman says local seniors need the help, because one in five seniors in Ypsilanti face food insecurity.
She added that, during the winter months, more seniors sign up for the food delivery service, because it's difficult for them to get around.
Over three hundred people will benefit from the donation.
