The US News and World Report has placed several area schools on its 2015 list of Best High Schools.
Saline High School was a Gold medal winner and ranked #6 in Michigan. Chelsea High School came in at #18 in the State.
Additionally, the Ann Arbor Public Schools district's Community, Huron, Pioneer and Skyline High Schools were all awarded Silver Medals for their academic achievements. This is the second consecutive year 4 schools from the district have received such rankings.
AAPS Superintendent Jeanice Swift issued a statement saying "these awards reflect yet another measure of our exceptional Ann Arbor Public Schools community."
A variety of factors were used to rate the schools, including math and reading proficiency, success rates for minority and low-income students, and college preparedness.
