Washtenaw County will soon be a step closer to hiring a new administrator.
Seven candidates for Washtenaw County Administrator will be interviewed by the Board of Commissioners during a day long interview session on Saturday.
Current Administrator Verna McDaniel officially retired last year, but has remained in the position on a contractual basis. She says Washtenaw needs a person who will create strong connections in the community.
McDaniel says,
“[We need] someone who’s really going to be hooked into the community. Who [will] come in and forge relationships and partnerships with department heads and elected officials, but also with all of the community non-profits that we work with.”
All interviews are open to the public, beginning on Saturday at 8:30 AM at the Washtenaw County Administration Building.
