Washtenaw County Road Commission Snow Plows Are Getting A Makeover

Snow plows operated by the Washtenaw County Road Commission will be a bit more decorative this winter.

Art students from seven schools in the county were provided with a plow to paint as they please.  Students from Ypsilanti Community High School decorated their plow with a grizzly bear and trees covered with snow.

Sophomore Monajha Brown helped with the project.

"Yeah, it most definitely motivates me because I can see the bigger picture now of things that I can do.  Instead of writing on a blank piece of paper, I can do more than that, have a bigger platform," said Brown.

This is the first year the road commission offered the Paint-a-Plow program.
