The Washtenaw County Democratic Party approved a resolution that supports the recall of Governor Rick Snyder.

The reason behind the vote was the Flint water crisis.  Party chair Chris Savage says the governor has failed to fix the water contamination problem.

The party stated that only 19 lead water lines have been replaced since the governor announced the crisis 186 days ago, and that it was the mayor of Flint who accomplished that task.

790,000 valid signatures need to be collected in 60 days to move forward with the recall.
