Eastern Michigan University has sent a 17-student contingent to Washington D.C. for National Arts Advocacy Day.  It's part education and part functional plea for continuing investment in the arts and arts education.  What are the hopes and expectations?  That's the focus this week on 89.1 WEMU's "creative:impact."

From October 11th-14th, Americans for the Arts held its Executive Leadership Forum in Toledo, Ohio.  Arts organizations from around the country were represented to discuss successes and challenges in furthering the creative industries.  Get an inside look as to what lessons were learned and can be put to use in Ann Arbor and southeast Michigan.  Deb Polich is President and CEO of the Arts Alliance, WEMU's partner in "creative:impact," and she shares her experiences at the forum with our own David Fair.
