The Director of the University of Michigan's Graham Sustainability Insitute was the lead co-author of the portion of the latest National Climate Assessment dealing with the Midwest.

The report was presented Tuesday at the White House.

Dr. Donald Scavia says the Midwest will continue to experience warming and increased average precipitation.  The region will also see more frequent intense spring rainstorms, and may experience drier summers.
