The community group Survivors Speak held a demonstration Wednesday at the University of Michigan’s diag to protest what they call misconduct, both at the Washtenaw County Prosecutor’s Office and the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office. 

For nearly half a century now, people from around the nation gather in Ann Arbor on the first Saturday in April to celebrate cannibis culture.  The 49th edition of 'Hash Bash' will be different.  This year, the central-campus Diag on the University of Michigan campus will sit quiet.  The Coronavirus pandemic has forced organizers to present in digitial format. Jamie Lowell is helping lead the effort to take Hash Bash online. He joined WEMU's David Fair to, among other things, explain what that will look like.

The Washtenaw Interfaith Coalition for Immigrant Rights and the Interfaith Council for Peace and Justice will host a "Families Belong Together" rally on Saturday.
